The aircraft was received on arrival by officials of The Gambia Tourism Board and tour operators.
Haddy Darboe, Senior Promotion Officer at The Gambia Tourism Board, said a lot of efforts had been put together to have successive tourist seasons in the country.
“We have a very important joint-marketing with them since last year and that’s why they even increased their flights to two flights, and based on our statistics, the numbers are going higher. So that’s a plus for us for selling The Gambia to the whole world,” she said.
Kemo Jammeh, Alkamba Travel Tours Operator, said: “This is the first maiden flight from Poland with 175 passengers on board.” He added that every week, they would expect two flights from Poland.
