Some residents of Bakau on 29 March 2026 accused President Barrow’s agent of ignoring their complaint over the waste water flowing from President Barrow’s storey building downstairs at Bakau Sanchaba.

This reporter himself was passing behind the building opposite Jola Kunda on the same day. He avoided stepping on the waste water flowing from the building to the street, which was in a terrible condition.

“It is always like this,” a resident, who did not want his name to be mentioned, lamented.

“We complained but to no avail. The president’s agent ignores our complaint. You see, this is very unhealthy. Our children always play here. They can catch up diseases. “To be candid, the environment here is not conducive,” another resident angrily added. “We are tired of this. It is always the same. Our health is at risk.”

“Did you report the matter to the NEA?” this reporter asked.

“We did that. It seems they are afraid to take action against the agent. You know the building is owned by the president,” another resident vented his anger.

Passers-by always complain about the waste water flowing from the building to the street, pleading to the president to do something about it.
