The case relates to the alleged murder of Abdoulie Badjie of Tumgina on February 16, 2025. Badjie reportedly slipped and fell during a fight, lost consciousness, and was later confirmed dead at the hospital.
The suspect was arraigned before Magistrate I.O. Njai at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court on a single charge of murder, to which he pleaded not guilty.
Following an application by the Prosecution, the court ordered the remand of the suspect at Mile II Central Prisons, while arrangements are made to transfer the case to the High Court for further proceedings.
