Following a National Dialogue in Diamniadio, Senegal Commission for the National Dialogue has proposed to Macky Sall that he must validate June 2, 2024 to hold the presidential elections.

The 19 candidates already selected will be maintained in addition to files of the Spoiler candidates (Karim Wade) who will be re-evaluated for the possibility of reinstatement.

The Amnesty Law will be introduced for adoption in the National Assembly from Thursday, February 29.

Given the length and taking into account the Ramadan and Muslim feast, the Commission proposes June 2nd 2024 which should be confirmed by decree by the Chief of State who is President Sall.

The commission recommends the president to remain in office till June 2nd while his successor will be sworn-in, confirmed Ndiawar Paye, a presidential adviser.

Seventeen presidential candidates have boycotted the talks while only two participated in the talks.
