Minister Jobe receives Best Minister Award at World Government Summit

The Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Abdoulie Jobe was on Tuesday awarded the ‘Best Minister Award’ at the ongoing World Government Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Minister Jobe, who is accompanied by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry - Amie Njie and Ida Jent Njie, Director General of the Gambia Tourism Board (GTBoard), was presented with the award by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the occasion.

This award was in recognition of his hard work and dedication to duty, and for making The Gambia a sought-after destination in the world.

This year’s Summit, is thus convened under the theme “Shaping Future Governments” and brings together governments, international organisations, thought leaders, and private sector representatives from around the world.

The forum, basically seeks to promote international cooperation, identify innovative solutions to future challenges, and empower the next generation of governments.

The World Governments Summit Organization is a global, neutral, non-profit organisation dedicated to shaping the future of governments. Through its events, dialogues, and other engagements, the organisation explores the agenda for a new era of governance, focusing on harnessing innovation and technology to solve the universal challenges facing humanity.
