Mayor Lowe was awarded in Azerbaijan for her exemplary leadership at the local level and for her dedication to empower women and youths in the capital city of Banjul.
Mayor Lowe expressed her sincere gratitude to the people of The Gambia and particularly to the residents of Banjul for their unwavering and massive support through her journey as mayor.
“I never thought that there are people watching and appreciating my efforts. With all honesty, I never saw this one coming.” she said.
Lowe thanked the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mustapha Batchilly and Staff of the Banjul City Council and the Office of the Mayor under the leadership of Madam Isatou Njie for their tireless support.
