Macky Sall reacts as fatal accident claims 22 lives

Nineteen people have been reported dead on Monday morning in northern Senegal in a collision between a bus and a truck, eight days after a road accident that killed more than 40 people, Seneweb reports.

The shock that occurred near the locality of Sakal, in the Louga region, left 24 injured, said Colonel Papa Ange Michel Diatta, a national firefighter official.

After this accident, President Macky Sall reacted on Twitter: "Another fatal accident on our roads at the entrance of Ngeun Sarr. 19 human lives lost and 24 injured. This highlights the need to strengthen security measures on road. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Speedy recovery to the injured.
