Eid Mubarak to all Gambians
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
On this blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt prayers to all Gambians, both at home and abroad. Eid is a time of profound reflection, gratitude, and renewal of faith—a reminder of the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity that define us as a nation.
The story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) teaches us the importance of trust in Allah, selflessness, and devotion to the greater good. As we celebrate, let us embrace these lessons by standing together in solidarity, supporting the less fortunate, and working towards a Gambia that is just, prosperous, and inclusive for all.
Our nation continues to face challenges, but with faith and collective effort, we can overcome them. Let this Eid inspire us to bridge divides, strengthen our democratic values, and uphold the principles of justice, peace, and progress that the UDP stands for.
To those performing the Hajj pilgrimage, may Allah accept your sacrifices and prayers. To every family, may your homes be filled with joy, and may this Eid bring renewed hope for our beloved Gambia.
