KMC responds to FPAC on audit queries

The Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) announced it has officially submitted its written response to the Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC) of the National Assembly regarding the audit queries outlined in the FPAC’s adopted report.

“We extend our sincere thanks to the FPAC for giving us the opportunity to address the issues raised and to provide all necessary supporting documents.”

“KMC remains committed to transparency, accountability, and sound financial management in serving our residents.”

In a separate engagement, and as part of its continued commitment to supporting education, the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC) announced it has paid the tuition fees for the following individuals to assist them in their educational journeys:

  1. Rohey Mboob – Margaret Nursing School
  2. Asta Cham – Management Development Institute (MDI)
  3. Halimatou Fanneh – University of The Gambia (UTG)
  4. Josephine K. Mendy – University of The Gambia (UTG)
  5. Arokey Sanyang (PWD) – Vicky’s Hair Dressing
  6. Ya Fatou Camara (PWD) – Vicky’s Hair Dressing
  7. Awa Jarju (PWD) – Vicky’s Hair Dressing

All cheques were presented by the Chairperson of the Education Committee, except for Josephine K. Mendy, whom we could not reach on the telephone number provided.

If you know her, kindly inform her to visit the KMC Office by Monday morning to collect her cheque.
