He said even if the council has only supported the team morally, the NCC would have equally appreciated that. He thus thanked the council through the mayor for being very supportive to support.
Handing over the cheque, Lord Mayor Bensouda said The Gambia’s qualification to the AFCON alone has raised our national profile.
He expressed appreciation to the national response to the NCC’s call and called for a national prayer for a successful campaign in Ivory Coast.
