Mr. Darboe went on to describe President Adama Barrow as a good politician and a “humble brother.” However, he was quick to say that President Barrow has certain people around him that he (Barrow) needs to be careful with.
Mr. Turo Darboe, who mentioned no names, advised Barrow to be mindful of them.
According to Mr. Darboe, the trio is not bringing any development other than driving good people away from President Barrow's party, describing them as the 3s.
He added that politics is not about insulting or threatening or castigating people, but encouraging people to be part of your party.
“I believe if Seedy Njie is accorded the opportunity to lead, I think President Barrow will be happy. He is a very good politician. He is very respectful and loyal to President Adama Barrow likewise Dou Sanno.”
He added that Dou Sanno and Seedy Njie are very good politicians in encouraging people to join President Barrow’s party unlike the trio he has in his party.
Regarding his development projects across the country, Mr. Darboe said that his Foundation has been implementing projects for the past 28 years by complementing the government's efforts in national development.
According to him, his project is not about political gain but to support the poor and the needy. He alleged that no president had ever stopped GRTS from covering his programmes, saying this time a directive was issued to stop covering his programme. “All I am doing is just to help Gambian people. Mr. Darboe stated. In-fact I don’t need GRTS covering my programmes any more but one day time will tell,” Turo Darboe stated.
“I believe the support I am providing to the poor and needy should be seen through the National Television so that all those that are able can emulate me and support the poor and needy.”
