Hajj fundraising committee hails donors in ambulance purchase

The chairman of the Fund Raising Committee of the National Hajj Commission has praised all the donors that contributed to purchasing a new ambulance for Gambian pilgrims in Mecca.

Speaking to The Point, Chairman Bai Sainey Secka said the donations will go a long way in easing the difficulties pilgrims may face during the hajj.

He revealed that the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) contributed US$20,000; Abubacarr Jawara US$20,000; Patriotic Gambians D3,350,000.00; Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) D200,000, and Ahmed El Mally Menane D100,000.

Mr Secka further revealed that these donations were facilitated through the help of the Ministry of Lands, Local Government and Religious Affairs.
