This year’s commencement of the Groundnut Trade Season on the first Monday of December is consistent with a long-standing tradition between The Gambia Government and the farming community.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with relevant stakeholders had begun preparations for this year’s trade season very early and assures Gambian farmers of a very successful outcome.
Therefore, The Gambia Government urges all actors across the spectrum; farmers, buyers, and transporters to do everything possible to complement Government's multiple initiatives in making agriculture a worthwhile venture.
