Gov’t signs New Port Concession Project agreement with Albayrak group of companies

The Ministry of Transport Works and Infrastructure through the Gambia Ports Authority on Thursday 11th July signed the Banjul Ports Concession Agreement with the Albayakah group of companies for the expansion of the Banjul Port and construction of a new 12m deep sea port at Sanyang at a ceremony held at the Sir Dawda Jawara Conference Center.

The concession project will foster efficiency in the port management and all other services within the port ecosystem. It will also provide quicker delivery of goods and services, and significantly improve the operational turnaround time of doing business at the Gambian port. The project is also expected to introduce cutting edge technologies from the very start for enhanced seamless operations at the Ports.
