Gov’t allocates D100M for Diamond Jubilee

The Gambia government has allocated hundred million dalasis for the celebrations of 60th Independence Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee), according to Dr Ismaila Ceesay, minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting.

Dr Ceesay’s clarification came in contrast to widespread rumour that hundred and fifty million dalasi was spent for the celebration.

“The government allocated D100 million dalasi for the entire Diamond Jubilee celebration, he told The Point in an interview.
