The decision, the letter states, was made at an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) convened on 21 June 2025 at NaNA Conference Hall through a Notice Letter dated 3rd June 2025.
“In light of this decision, Paul Gaye is no longer the President/Chairman of GICA and can therefore not present himself as such in any way or fashion effective 21 June 2025.”
The letter stated that the meeting was held in accordance with section 7(5) of the Financial Reporting Act 2013 and Rule 22(1) of the GICA By-Laws, aimed to address Leadership crises at the GICA Council.
It also stated that the “remaining Council members are to stay and manage” the affairs of the Council.
It further tasked the Council members to hold an AGM within ninety (90) days from the date of the EGM.
