Gambian Ambassador presents letters of credence to Duke of Luxembourg

The Gambian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Communities on Wednesday 22nd March 2023, presented his Letters of Credence to the Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg at the Palais Grand -Ducal in Luxembourg.

Following the presentation of his letters, the Ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes from His Excellency President Adama Barrow and the people of the Republic of The Gambia to the King. 

Ambassador Jobarteh had the opportunity to privately discuss relevant issues including regional security, trade, and tourism. 

The need to maintain peace, security, and political stability in the region are among the key issues discussed. He also expressed confidence in The Gambia being on the right track to be a model for democratic transition and stability.

The King congratulated Ambassador Jobarteh on his appointment and extended his warm greetings to the President and people of The Gambia. His Majesty shared his admiration for the uniqueness of the Gambia’s geographic location and for it being a popular tourist destination. 

Ambassador Jobarteh was accompanied by his spouse and staff of the Embassy.
