Gambian appointed African Continental Association for Food Protection board of director

A Gambian agriculture expert in the person of Dr Ernest Aubee has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the African Continental Association for Food Protection (ACAFP).

The Association is a body responsible for promoting the production and distribution of safe food in Africa. It seeks to advance food safety on the continent through a number of continental, regional and national initiatives. In addition to being a board member, Dr Aubee has been appointed to be the Co-chair of the Finance and Sponsorship Committee. The President of ACAFP, Professor Joseph Odumeru congratulated Dr Aubee for his appointment and looks forward to his contributions towards the goals and objectives of the organisation.

Ernest Aubee served as head of Agriculture Division of the ECOWAS Commission for 14 years and retired in August 2022. He was able to implement impactful food and nutrition security programmes.
