Shots fired next to President Macky Sall's home - Mermoz

Heavy gunshots were heard in the night from Friday to Saturday at around 5 a.m., not far from the home of the head of state, Macky Sall, located in Mermoz.

According to the information relayed, there is talk of a gang of aggressors who attacked in the street one of the employees of the home of the President of the Republic.

But many questions remain around this alleged aggression next to the home of a head of state.

How can aggressors afford to attack individuals next to the home of the head of state, when we know that there is an impressive and heavily armed deployment of security forces roaming around his house?

Was it really an assault? Was the domicile of the head of state targeted? So many questions in the minds of the people.

The attackers were said to have been arrested and neutralized before being sent to the research section of Colobane in charge of the investigation.

It should be noted that this incident occurred in a context of suspicion within the gendarmerie with the leak of an internal investigation into the Adji Sarr-Sonko case.
