With great sorrow and sadness, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad received the news of the unfortunate passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, mother of His Royal Highness King Mohamed VI on June 29th 2024.

During this difficult moment, the Ministry on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of The Gambia extends its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Kingdom of Morocco and its People.

May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ ala give the entire Kingdom, especially, His Royal Highness King Mohamed VI and his siblings the strength and fortitude to bear this loss and grant Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa a peaceful eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
