Yerro Sowe, the manager of Gam Petroleum yesterday submitted documents requested by the Joint Committee which is investigating the $30 million petroleum saga.

The documents are based on the application guidelines for storing oil at the depot.

This request came on the heels of the National Assembly’s Joint Committee on Finance, Public Accounts, and Public Enterprises investigation.

The committee asked for the oil application guidelines specific to storing oil at the depot, along with the historic agreement between Apogee FZC and Gam Petroleum, as well as the articles and memorandum of association of Gam Petroleum.

However, Mr. Sowe provided the requested documents but noted that the oil application guidelines would be submitted later, as not all necessary documents were available at that time.

The committee clarified that they would specify the required documents in their request. Meanwhile, they advised that if they come across any additional documents, they would inform the company.

“Otherwise, we will make a special request. For now, we have some documents, but we cannot currently locate these three: the Beleige application guidelines for storing oil at the airport, the storage agreement between Apogee FZC and Gam Petroleum, and the articles and memorandum of association,” they stated.

The committee requested the resubmission of these documents by the coming Wednesday from the general manager, emphasising that these are the pending issues. Additionally, the general manager inquired about any foreign development updates since August 22, 2020.

When asked if there had been any new developments regarding this issue, Mr. Sowe replied: “There has not been any development. What we presented and the statement we made encompass everything related to that issue.”
