Former deputy agric minister hails Bayaba project, calls for support

Former deputy minister of Agriculture M.S. Kah has spoken on the importance of the Jah Oil’s Agricultural project at Bayaba village in Sami District, saying Gambians should embrace the project.

He made the remarks during the recent official inauguration of the 7-kilometre road constructed by Jah Oil, linking Karantaba Wolof and Bayaba where the rice field is located.

According to the former Deputy Agriculture Minister M.S. Kah, taking into account the importance of the road, Gambians should cherish and embrace the project Bayaba.

He described Mr. Hamidou Jah as a revolutionary whose vision is to transform Sami District into a model Agricultural hub.

According to M.S. Kah, since the intervention of Hamidou Jah in agriculture, his projects have provided lot of opportunities for the youth and women in terms of employment.

M.S. Kah urged the people of Sami to support Mr. Jah, saying: “I see no reason why they should not support him to succeed in realising this project.”

He further called on youths who are more energetic to waste no time to come in large numbers and participate in this project, pointing out that Mr. Jah has played his part by bringing the development project to their doorsteps.

“Now it’s left to them to take ownership and make this project a dream come true for the people of Sami,” he hinted.

M.S. Kah praised the community of Bayaba specially the alkalo for letting the Jah Oil Company secure a land of 1,200 hectares to cultivate rice.

He also thanked and advised the people of Bayaba to continue the support and the work related to the project under the leadership of CEO Jah.
