FJC is a renowned politician and a seasoned international leader with a track record of decades of public service in national and international engagement. She is also the former Speaker of the National Assembly of The Gambia, President of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) former Deputy Speaker of ECOWAS Parliament, and Founder of, Family Rights Advancement and Protection (FRAI).
Over 50 nominations were received from a record number of 20 African countries. Following extensive research and deliberation, the adjudicators retained a shortlist of 26 finalists in four (4) categories, seven (7) sub-categories and a further 20 Honorary Awards nominees.
The Award winners will be unveiled at a gala ceremony to be held in Johannesburg on 18 November 2023. LWA Group will also host the second edition of the Africa Partnership for Growth (APG) Symposium which is due to take place in Johannesburg, South Africa 16-18 November 2023.
The APG is an annual economic gathering of entrepreneurs and decision-makers from the public and private sectors coming together to accelerate intra-Africa trade activities and ultimately contribute to the socio-economic stability and prominence of Africa in the global market. APG 2022 hosted delegates and dignitaries representing 23 African countries and beyond and led to inter-regional alliances and fruitful business partnerships being formed.
The LWA Men Champions awards and Future is Female awards which are distinguished and prestigious awards recognising the efforts and impacts of men and women in the process of achieving gender equality. Endorsed by the late Dr Kenneth Kaunda and Patron of LWA, the LWA Men Champions Awards was launched in 2015 as a distinguished and prestigious annual awards ceremony in recognition of outstanding male leaders who are playing a significant role in unlocking the potential and the acknowledgement of women as equal partners in the sustainable socio-economic development process.

Ntwiga, Founder and CEO of the Solidarity Community Based Organization in Kenya and Mr. Armand Claude Abanda from the African Institute of Computer Sciences based in Cameroon.
