The YAC aims to ensure that EU policies and programs are inclusive and responsive to the needs of young people in The Gambia. The committee will provide a platform for young people to express their views and opinions and to contribute to the development of policies and programs that affect them.
"We are delighted to launch the Youth Advisory Committee, which will provide a platform for young people to contribute to decision-making processes," said H.E. Immaculada ROCA I CORTES, EU Ambassador to The Gambia. "This initiative is a testament to our commitment to youth empowerment and participation."
"The National Youth Parliament is proud to partner with the EU Delegation to establish the Youth Advisory Committee," said Ndegen Jobe, outgoing Deputy Speaker of the National Youth Parliament – The Gambia. "This initiative will enable young people to have a greater say in the decisions that affect their lives and futures," she remarked.
