When the accused Ousainou Bojang was asked about the telephone number he was using to communicate, he admitted he was using one Africell number, which he also used to communicate with his “white woman”.
It would be recalled that when the accused commenced his defence last week, he made mention of an encounter between him and a friend called Famara Sarjo on account of a white woman called Claudette.
He mentioned that Famara Sarjo interfered between him and his white woman who he said resides in the United Kingdom. The white woman, he said, told him that Famara Sarjo told her that Ousainou was mismanaging her money.
Ousainou said when his white woman told him that, he hung up the phone and called Famara Sarjo to tell him about the issue but he said Famara did not admit that statement and they ended up quarreling over it.
He said he told Famara to step away from the affair between him and his white woman, adding that Famara later lodged a complaint against him at the Brusubi police station that he Ousainou Bojang threatened him.
Ousainou said that when he was called to the police station by one officer called Sidi Sonko, he went and answered and met Famara at the station.
He said Sidi told him that Famara lodged a complaint against him (the accused) that he was calling and threatening him. Ousainou said he never threatened Famara Sarjo. He only told him to stay away because he had no idea how he started with his woman (Claudette).
Ousainou said Claudette confirmed to him that his friend, Famara, told her that he was mismanaging her money and spending it “anyhow”.
Subsequently, he said the officer, Sidi, advised them to calm down on the issue and should not allow such to divide them as friends.
Ousainou told the court how his friendship started with Famara Sarjo, when he was asked by the officer. He said his friendship with Famara started a long time ago. “We even went together to the same primary and junior school. We separated during our senior school,” he narrated.
Ousainou said Sidi further advised them that they should not allow anyone to come between the two of them. “Especially you Ousainou Bojang,” he called out my name.“I want you to apologize to your friend, Famara Sarjo, and tell him to forgive you so that you can end this issue here,” Ousainou narrated what Sidi told him.
The alleged PIU shooter then said he told the officer that it was not a problem to apologise to Famara. He said he apologised to him and they shook hands.
While they were there, Ousainou said the officer then told him to go but he saw Famara’s phone placed on a counter.
He said before he stepped out, Famara’s phone rang and he saw the white woman’s UK number calling Famara. Ousainou said Famara was not willing to answer the call in his presence.
“Sidi Sonko forced me to go,” Ousainou testified. “When I stepped out, on the highway, I called the woman and it was indicating that she was on another call. I didn’t call again and I went home.”
The case continues today.
