The accused - Ansumana Jarju, Losseni Diabate (alias Alfusainey), Abdoulie Jallow, and Omar Secka - face three serious criminal charges: conspiracy to commit a felony, robbery, and unlawful possession of firearms.
Representing the State, Counsel M.B. Mballow alleged that the quartet conspired to carry out the robbery on or about 22 January 2025, fleeing with a sum totalling D1,532,645 in cash.
According to the indictment filed by the Attorney General’s Chambers, the heist occurred in Bijilo and at “other undisclosed locations”.
Prosecutors further claim that Jarju, Diabate and Jallow were found in unlawful possession of two pistols and 13 rounds of ammunition, an offence under the Arms and Ammunition Act (Cap 21:01).
Defence counsel for the accused include lawyers Samuel Ade, U.A. Ugar, and T.B. Jallow.
Following their plea of not guilty, the case was adjourned until 25 October 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
