Havana, Jan 18 (Prensa Latina) The Government of Cuba ratified the will to strengthen ties with its nationals residing abroad, through an irreversible process that is constantly being updated, reported an authority from the Foreign Ministry.

This was announced by the Director General of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad, Ernesto Soberón, in a meeting with Carlos Lazo, leader of the Puentes De Amor movement, and other activists who reject the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington on Havana.

According to the diplomat, the occasion was propitious to thank all the actions that this solidarity project carries out in US territory against the fence, in support of the Cuban people and families.

In this sense, Soberón highlighted the successive caravans carried out in hundreds of cities around the world, the donations and many other activities of love towards the Caribbean Island.

Last Saturday, a solidarity shipment arrived in this capital with 15 thousand pounds of powdered milk organized by the joint effort of the groups Puentes de Amor, Code Pink and The People's Forum, from the United States.

Representatives of the organizations, who accompanied the cargo, agreed that it responds to the need to support the country in the face of the blockade and its resurgence in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We know that it is a small shipment in a sea of needs, but beyond the same load we want to build Bridges of Love, and these are built gram by gram, Carlos Lazo told the assembled press.
