
He added that this helps deliver effective and efficient services at work, while expressing appreciation on the level of revenue collection in this country.
He made these remarks while delivering a speech at the official opening of a two-day training for GRA staff organised by the Department of Enterprise Risk Management, Reforms, Modernisation and IT.
The training was attended by over thirty staff through the aforementioned department under GRA.
According to CG Darboe, GRA continues year in year out to perform relatively well in revenue generation, attributing to the continued capacity building that his staff enjoy. He assured that he won’t relent to give his staff the opportunity to tap new innovations and knowledge at GRA.
He underlined the importance of this training, saying it cannot be overemphasised taking into account that the knowledge gained will have a great impact in their work. He challenged the participants to take the training seriously and urged them to participate fully and make the training interactive.
He further reminded participants that where much is given much is expected. According to him, GRA needs serious minded people as the kind of job that the Authority is doing involves money which he said is not child’s play.
Speaking on behalf of the director of Enterprise Risk Management, Reforms, Modernisation and IT, Musa Saidykhan, commended the organiser of the training - Department of Enterprise Risk Management, Reforms, Modernisation, and IT for a job well done. He said the programme marks another significant milestone in the Authority’s transformative journey, aimed at strengthening collective capacity in risk management processes, which are crucial to the success and sustainability of the Authority as an institution.
