The fire incident, which occurred last week in the Gambisara Ward of the Jimara District of URR, left the 10 affected families in a desperate situation as their entire farm produce perished during the fire incident.
The humanitarian gesture from the Gambisara born was facilitated by the Ward Councillor of the area, Hon. Muhammed Dukureh, who ensured that each affected individual received D10,000 as token for sustenance for the families.
The fire incident left the 10 farms completely destroyed. The individuals who lost their means of livelihood were left devastated and distressed.
Recognising the urgency and significance of providing immediate support, Jawara generously stepped forward to contribute a substantial sum to assist the victims.
His contribution was aimed at providing much-needed relief and support to affected families.
The support redered by Abubakary Jawara, a GACH official said, exemplifies the power of compassion and community solidarity in times of crisis. “It serves as a testament to the generosity and benevolence of individuals who step up to address the needs of the most vulnerable in society.”
