The Brikama Magistrates' Court presided over by Magistrate MS. Dem granted one Dembo Ceesay bail in the sum of 100,000 dalasis. He was charged with wilful damage to property.

According to particulars of offence, Dembo Ceesay sometimes in the month of December 2024 at Mamuda village willfully and unlawfully demolished a compound gate and a concrete pillar value at D25, 000, being the property of one Mengeh Ceesay and he thereby committed an offence.

The accused who was unrepresented denied the allegations of wilful damage to property.

The prosecution did not object to the bail of the accused on the ground that the crime in which the accused is alleged to have committed is a bailable offence. The prosecution then sought for an adjournment in order to secure their first   prosecution witness.

Presiding Magistrate MS. Dem then granted Ceesay bail in the sum of D100,000 with two Gambian sureties.

The case is adjourned to 3 April 2025 for the hearing of prosecution witness.
