Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased was allegedly assaulted during an altercation and subsequently collapsed. She was rushed to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Following the incident, Police launched efforts to apprehend the suspect. Ousman Kone was subsequently arrested by the Joint Security Night Patrol Team at Arch 22 in Banjul and is currently in Police custody assisting with investigations.
