Ambassador Bah holds talks with IMF Executive Director

The ambassador of The Gambia to the United States of America, His Excellency Momodou Lamin Bah, on Tuesday 29 November, held discussions with the Executive Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mr. Willie Nakunyada, at the IMF Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Ambassador Bah used the opportunity to extend greetings from His Excellency President Adama Barrow to the Managing Director and the entire Leadership of IMF. He returned gratitude to officials of the institution for the warm reception they have accorded to him. 

During his engagement with Executive Director Nakunyada, Ambassador Bah emphasised the commitment of the Government of The Gambia to its current programme with IMF. The Gambian Ambassador firmed up arrangement for bilateral meeting between the Vice President of The Gambia, His Excellency Badara A. Joof, and the Managing Director of IMF on the margins of the forthcoming US–Africa leaders’ Summit slated for 13 – 15 December 2022. 

The Vice President His Excellency Badara A. Joof is expected to deputise for the Head State His Excellency Adama Barrow at the US–Africa leaders’ Summit.
