It would be recalled back that for the last three years Africmed has consistently won the award – in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Africmed received this year’s award during the 8th Edition of the Gambia Revenue Authority taxpayers’ awards ceremony held at the Coco Ocean Hotel on 23 May 2026. The highly attended event was presided over by the President of The Gambia, H.E. Adama Barrow.
According to GRA officials, the annual event serves as an important national platform to recognize compliants taxpayers whose contributions continue to support national development, strengthen domestic revenue mobilization, and promote economic growth across The Gambia.
These businesses, institutions, and individuals have demonstrated outstanding commitment, consistency, and patriotism through timely tax compliance and meaningful contributions to national development.
In reacting to the award, the CEO of Africmed International Hospital, Dr Omar Jagne, said: “We are happy to receive the GRA taxpayer award for healthcare consecutively for the past three years,” he said.
“This recognition reflects our continuous commitment to professionalism, compliant responsible business practices, excellence, and contribution to the health services in The Gambia.

Dr Jagne maintained that this achievement is not only an award for the Africmed International Hospital but also a recognition of the hard work, dedication and passion of the entire Africmed Team.
