Afri-money partners with Attack as first brand ambassador

In a bold move aimed at promoting local talents, while also ensuring greater visibility for its products and services, Afri-money, one of Gambia’s leading mobile money services, on Friday signed rising Gambian sensation – Attack - as its first brand ambassador.

The contract, which lasts for one year, will see the Gambian music star promoting an array of products and services of one of the country’s leading mobile money services. 

As brand ambassador, Attack will promote mobile money services and represent the brand’s values of creativity, empowerment, and growth.

At the event, Waka Jagne, senior PR and Events Manager at Africell, described the day as another milestone for the mobile service, Attack Gaye, as they officially signed one of the leading and celebrated artistes as their brand ambassador.

The move, he said, is more than just a signing ceremony, but a partnership built on shared values, energy and vision for impact.

He described Attack as not only a gifted and versatile performer, but one who represents the voice for the people especially the youth.

“He is outspoken, influential, energetic and most importantly loved by the masses. These are the qualities we see reflected in Afri-money’s own journey, a bold, reliable and people-centred services that is here to change the game.”

As a multiple award winner, who also represented the Gambia on some major stages both home and abroad, Attack joins the Afri-money family with renewed hope and consistency to help promote their service to another height.

“We believe this collaboration is a perfect match as Attack stands for innovation, authenticity and connections, values that are at the core of what Afri-money represents. This is why we are proud to have him on board. With Attack, we are not just adding a face to the Afri-money but we are adding sprit, passion and real influence.”

To this end, Jagne spoke of their continuous resolve to supporting the Gambian music icon in his journey and career growth, adding that in return, the music star will relay Afri-money messages to the masses.

The move, he added, is not only a win for Afri-money or Attack, but a win for the culture, industry and all their customers and fans across the country.

For his part, Simon K. Andersson-Manjang, Mobile Money Director, spoke about the values that drive the Afri-money family, which he said is energy.

He also spoke about their result to change the dynamics especially as it relates to business growth, acknowledging that these are the qualities they also saw in Attack.

“We are looking for a digital future,” he said. “We see values on both sides and it is a match.”

The mobile money service boss spoke highly of the new partnership with Attack, adding that they want to associate themselves with someone who has that energy.

“The future is bright, and we will support Attack in all of his musical endeavours, and I know together we will have a couple of exciting years in front of us,” he added.

Abdoulie Gaye, aka Attack, acknowledged that being the first brand ambassador of Afri-money is a big plus for him as far as his music growth is concerned.

In view of this, he said he would not take it lightly and he would do all it takes to ensure he delivers as expected.

The music sensation, who was short of words with regard to the move, said he was humbled and thrilled, and remains up to the task.

“So, all I want to say is that get ready, we are coming,” he promised.
