Nigeria tops the list with 134 people, followed by Liberia with 111 and Ghana with 44. The Gambia and Côte d’Ivoire each have 15 nationals on the list.
The database, maintained by ICE, targets non-citizens convicted of crimes and subject to immigration enforcement. Offences listed range from money laundering, fraud and identity theft to robbery, drug possession and sexual crimes.
Other countries represented include Cape Verde with 26, Senegal 22, Mauritania 12, Burkina Faso and Niger 10 each, Sierra Leone 9, Togo 7, Guinea 6, Mali 5, Guinea-Bissau 1 and Benin 1.
The update comes amid intensified immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump. DHS says an ICE arrest does not automatically mean deportation, as each case undergoes legal and administrative review.
While specific names of Gambians were not detailed in the public summary, authorities said the 15 are included for offences similar to those cited for other West Africans on the list.
DHS data shows removals across the region have increased in 2025, with new measures prioritising individuals with criminal convictions or deemed national security risks.
