Zurich FC will tomorrow, 27 August 2011 take on SV Laar FC in the first semi-final encounter of the ongoing fitness tournament organised by Tallinding youths in collaboration with the Dynamic Sarahuleh Association for Changes and Development, at the
Speaking to reporters yesterday, ahead of the semi-final encounter, Dawda Jassey, a member of the organizers, said the purpose of the tournament is to keep the players fit for the forthcoming nawetaan after the Ramadan, adding that it is also meant to strengthen the already existing unity among the teams.
This is the first time they are organizing such a tournament, the idea of which came through Dodou Kujabi, a United Stars FC player, he said.
Eight teams took part in the tournament, Jassey said, adding that they have so far achieved their aim of organising the tournament.
He also said members of the Dynamic Sarahuleh Association for Changes and Development are supporting them in various ways in making sure the tournament becomes a success.
“I hope teams taking part in this fitness tournament will do well in their various nawetaan zones when the nawetaan kicks off after the Ramadan,” Jessey noted.
He concluded by urging fans to maintain discipline in the remaining games of the competition.
