Within the context of globalisation Senegal, in the Third World Festival of Black Arts, invites through the vision of President Abdoulaye Wade to the remobilization of the culture diversity of Africa the Diaspora, for the sake of the long lasting development of the continent.
As decided by The Head of State, Maitre Abdoulaye Wade and in keeping with the mandate of culture, held in Dakar in 1980, Senegal, will be host from 1to 21December 2009, to the Third Word Festival of Black Arts (WFBA).
In keeping with its vacation as a land of creativeness and dialogue, Senegal will welcome the creative minds of Africa and its Diaspora around the theme of 'The African Renaissance'. As the initiator of this Third edition of the World Festival of Black Arts, The President of the Republic of Senegal Maitre Abdoulaye Wade has given himself without stint to by his enthusiastic involvement in the pre-occupations of the black world in the Third millennium.
Being a convinced Pan African, he believes that the unification and solid links with the Diaspora, in the precursors william Dubois, Langston Hughes, Cheikh Anta Diop and Kwame Nkrumah, among others, is still an essential precondition for the development of the African Continent.
