The Sub Region 2008 WafuU-20 Football Tournament will kick offtoday Friday 28 November 2008 in

Nigeria

. The football tournament is organised by the West African Football Union [WAFU].

The aims and objectives of the tournament are to promote and develop football in West Africa and also to expose locally based players in the Sub-region.

The hosts Nigeria U-20 will clash with Togo U-20 in the opening game at 14-30 pm. Guinea-Bissau will battle it out with Benin U-20 in group A on the same day The Gambia U-20 will take on Guinea Conakry in group B at 16-00. Ghana U-20 will also take on Senegal U-20 at 16-00 on the same day in group B.
