Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Bundung Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Abdoulie Jarju, to two years, six months in prison for stealing a motor vehicle at Brusubi Housing Estate.
The magistrate also ordered the vehicle to be returned to its rightful owner.
In delivering his judgement, Magistrate Mbacke stated that the accused was charged for the offence of stealing a motor vehicle, being the property of one Ebou Njie.
He adduced that the prosecution in support of their case had called in four witnesses, while the accused person gave evidence, but did not call any witness.
He stated that the testimonies of the prosecution witnesses corroborated, and that the prosecution had proven his case beyond all reasonable doubt.
