The district tournament organised by the Upper Nuimi Sports Committee will resume on Friday featuring tough encounters in group C.
Jays FC, Kayel, Pakau Njogou and Pakau Saloum will battle for a quarter final spot to fill the remaining six places. As earlier, SotoKoi and Jurunku all from group A first book their tickets to the quarter finals after securing seven points each.
Jays FC who is third in the group with three points and 2 goals will meet second place Kayel FC, at 4 points and two goals on Friday. Kayel FC stands a better chance of making if to the quarter finals if they succeed to win Friday's battle. They can either finish as group leaders or best losers.
The same applies to fellow group members Pakau Saloum who are currently topping the group with four points with a greater goal margin of 3, when they will take on toothless and winnowing Pakau Njogou on Saturday. But Pakau Njogou can turn the tables in their favour by registering their first win against the all -Pakau derby.
The well contested tournament brought together 20 teams from surrounding villages of Upper Nuimi and is stage under the patronage of Honorable Mam Cherno Jallow, National Assembly Member of the area.
