Two men were recently arraigned before Magistrate Jallow of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing by clerk or servant.
Alasana Krubally and Saja Fatty, both denied the charge and were each granted court bail of D350,000, with one surety for each who must deposit a title deed.
The charge sheet read that between January and April 2011, at Kanifing South, in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused persons, Alasana Krubally and Saja Fatty, being employees of Honest Associates Company Limited as sales manager and sales recorder respectively, and by virtue of such positions, jointly and fraudulently converted three hundred and forty-one thousand, eight hundred dalasi (D341,800) into their own use, being the proceeds of 114 white and black desktops and 91 LCD’S flat screen computers, the property of the said company.
