Triplets Mother Calls For Assistance

Mother to triplet newly born baby boys from Choya Village in Niamina West is calling on the public and philanthropist bodies within and outside The Gambia to assist her both financially and morally.

Mrs. Soffie Jallow Bah, aged 36, is a native of Choya Village in Niamina West District of Central River Region, who delivered three newly born baby boys on Monday, 12thOctober 2009, at Brikama Health Centre. All the three boys were born healthy, according to the medical report shown to this reporter.

The medical report also indicated that the first child was named after Gambian leader Yahya Jammeh, the second child named after the Libyan leader Muhammed Al Quddafi and the third child named after US President Barack Obama .

Mrs. Bah made this call last Tuesday during an interview with this reporter at her hospital bedroom.

According to Mrs. Bah, her husband Demba Bah who is presently in Choya Village is a poor farmer like her, adding that bot h of them will find it difficult to take care of them.

With the delivery of these newly born baby boys, Mrs. Bah said, it will be more difficult on their side to take care of the family, adding that there are other children back at Choya who left school because of poverty.
