Threaten violence case continues

The criminal trial of threatened violence involving one Ebrima Drammeh recently continued at the Brikama Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Effim.

Testifying for the prosecution, one Sakou Drammeh told the court that the accused is his biological brother.

According to him, on 19th February 2010, he was in bed when the accused came in smoking cigarette and asked him to stop smoking in the sitting room.

He adduced that the accused refused and it was when he reported him to their father, who advised him to stop smoking in the room.

He further testified that the accused then threatened to fight him for reporting him to their father. He said it was when he reported the matter to the Brikama Police Station.

Also testifying for the prosecution was Ba Ansuman Drammeh, the father of the accused who told the court that the accused had a problem with his elder brother, the complainant.

According to the father, the accused was smoking cigarette in the sitting room of the complainant who advised him to stop, but he refused. He said the complainant then reported the matter to him as the father.

He further testified that he advised the accused to stop smoking cigarette in the room, but the accused said he was "not going out." He said the accused then threatened to kill his brother if he did not mind.

He adduced that the complainant later reported the matter to the Brikama Police Station.

The case was adjourned to 9th March 2010.
