Hajj is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam. And as a piece of advice to our loved ones over there, we once again encourage them to take it very seriously, as it is a rare opportunity in ones life, to pray for themselves, their sponsors and their country as a whole .Back home, we shall continue to pray for your continuous safety, a successful Hajj and safe return.
As pilgrims you must always put at the back of your minds that your mission in the Holy land, though tiresome, is to seek the blessings of Allah and nothing else. We give emphasis for the need to support each other throughout the period. We want to encourage the young ones, in particular to be supportive to the elderly throughout the pilgrimage period to ensure that all performthe components of the Hajj.
After all, you are all Gambians and Muslims going for the same mission. We pray that God the Almighty Allah reward you accordingly and wish you all a safe journey and a successful Hajj.
It's worth noting that there is no better investment than spending in the cause of Allah, but our appeal goes to families back home to avoid over spending during their welcoming ceremonies, especially at a time when the world is in a very serious financial crisis.
Once again we urged the Gambia International Airline GIA, the National Hajj Commission and all other relevant stakeholder, ensure a problem-free Hajj for our pilgrims.
