Young tennis players at the age of 5 did wonders recently at the Independence Stadium Tennis Courts where they put up extraordinary performance in playing tennis.

The game, which attracted lots of people, is one of the most entertaining encounters.

The youngest among them is 5-year-old, who was seen handling the bat and knocking the ball with emulation from colleagues.

The secretary general of the Gambia Cricket Association, Mr Phillips, said there are lots of people who come for training with them, among them are seasonal ones whilst some are already in the system but are not seasoned.

“We have beginners and non-beginners, because sometimes if we want the training to be effective we separate them according to categories,” Mr Phillips said.

“Sometimes we encourage the others by making a combination because we combine all the players together with the weak ones so they can copy and emulate the stronger players.”
