Tallinding United beat Nema United 4-3 on post match penalties over the weekend, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, to secure a place in the quarter final stage of the FA Cup.
The Tallinding outfit, under the guidance of Coach Alagie Nyassi, overcome a goalless game against Nema to join the likes of Real De Banjul, Gamtel, and Brikama United, Gambia Ports Authority in the next round of the FA Cup.
Speaking to reporters shortly after the game, Alagie Nyassi, the head coach of Tallinding United who was very much happy about the victory, admitted it was a difficult game for his side.
He added that reaching the quarter final of the FA Cup is a great achievement and expressed his desire to guide Tallinding into the final stages of the competition.
“We would be very well prepared for our quarterfinal game. I want my players to make the best use of their chances to avoid missing chances like they did against Nema United,” Nyassi pointed out.
