The cash presented to the Gunjur Sports Committee was the proceeds gained from the 2014 Super Nawetan.
The presentation ceremony was held at the Gambia Football Federation Secretariat in Kanifing Layout on Friday.
In an interview with Pointsports, Momodou Charreh Jibba, first-vice president of Gunjur Sports Committee, said the committee had received D150,000 from Super Nawetan Organisations to renovate the Nyamina Football Field fence destroyed by heavy storm.
Jibba added that the committee is planning to build dressing rooms, toilets and perimeter fence, adding that “the committee lacks sponsor”.
Jibba described the support as timely, saying the Super Nawetan zones would continue to search for funds this year to support other zones to improve their football fields.
Jibba pointed out that “the committee will soon appoint” the head coach for Gunjur zonal team for the 2015 Super Nawetan.
