St. Francis Senior Secondary School in Kunkunjang Mariama, Kombo South recently held its seventh graduation ceremony at the schools ground.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sam Slyva Gomez, Principal of the school recalled on the numerous achievements registered by the school backed by the unique sense of determination and hard work by both the teachers and students.
He however lamented the low performance of the students at the 2008/2009 West African Senior School Certificate Examination. He used the opportunity to encouraged students to work hard and always take their education seriously.
For his part, Mr. Ousman Ceesay who deputized then Permanent Secretary at the Department of State for Basic and Secondary Education urged students to rise up for the challenges that lies ahead of them as future leaders.
He pointed out that parental involvement in schools help in improving effectiveness in schools. He emphasized a good community and school relationship.
