Soccer City FC have been crowned champions of this year’s Nyaribantang Saller Sports sponsored Faji Kunda Nooran Football Tournament organised by the Faji Kunda Youth and Sports Committee.
They defeated Tabokoto United FC 1-0 in the final played at the Faji Kunda playground on Monday.
The most anticipated final game saw both sides creating series of assaults in each other’s goal mouth but as the game progressed Soccer City took more control of it and dominated ball possessions, which paid off well in the 20 minute when striker Modou Nyang drilled home from a superb strike to earn his side the title.
Tabokoto United FC occasionally went close to scoring but all their efforts were denied by Soccer City FC formidable defence, thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Soccer City FC.
As champions, Soccer City were awarded a giant trophy and a cash prize of D3,500, whilst Tabokoto United FC received D2,000 as runners-up.
