SK Utd gets 1st win in GFF 1st Division

Struggling side Serrekunda United on Sunday beat Bombada 2-1 in their week twelve fixtures played at the Brikama Box Bar mini stadium, to snatch their first win in the 2014-2015 First-Eco Partners-sponsored Gambia Football Federation division one league.

The Serrekunda-based outfit are currently rooted at the bottom of the league table, after losing nine games, drawing two and just a victory over Bombada which earned them 5 points in twelve games, two points behind second placed from bottom Interior, who secured 7 points in eleven games.

Bombada are in third place with 20 points in twelve games, despite their slender defeat to Serrekunda United at the weekend.

Wallidan beat Banjul United 1-0 in an all-Banjul derby clash played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium, to bounce back in the league after losing two games in a row against Bombada and city-rivals Real de Banjul in their previous fixtures.

Elsewhere, Gambia Ports Authority drew 1-1 with struggling side Bakau United at the Serrekunda East mini stadium, on the same day.

Gambia Ports Authority are now with 20 points in twelve games, and Banjul United with 18 points in twelve games.

Wallidan are with 12 points in twelve games, and Bakau United are still struggling with 9 points in twelve games.
